Warrior Superheat Combat AG | REVIEW | ThatCoultasGuy

The Warrior Superheat Combat. Not a boot most people instantly think of when they want a takedown boot. But this release from Warrior is certainly a decent boot, one I feel people would appropriate if they picked it up to play in.
The Artificial Ground soleplate on this boot is what most drew me to it. After seeing it feature on many professional Warrior athletes feet I decided to get a pair, thanks to my girlfriend.
The plate does perform well on AG surfaces. The pitches I have played on with these have been both wet and dry and I'm happy to say that these hold up well on both. The 9 conical studs with 2 bladed heel studs and 2 support forefoot studs do a really good job of keeping you balanced on the AG pitches. The studs aren't long enough to make stud pressure an issue, something vital when playing on the harder AG pitches.
The upper on the Superheat Combat is thin, one-piece synthetic PU which allows for a good fit. Warrior are known for their above average takedown models and this is certainly that. The upper at first feels a bit stiff, but after a few hours break in, it softens up and becomes really flexible. It doesn't crease awkwardly and is flexes well with your foot. The insole is a non removable one but it still offers a good amount of comfort.
I got my normal Warrior size of a 7 and they fit great, there's the smallest amount of room in the toebox so this is good if you want your boots to fit tight. If you're after a more roomy fit then just got up half a size. To note, Warrior sizes are near enough the same as Nike's
To put it straight, I think that this boot looks great. The simple style of it with the white and gold base with the orange and blue details makes it looks so fresh. But this brings me on to my final point.

The all white soleplate, whilst it looks good out of the box, after a few wears it does get stained black because of the pellets used on AG pitches. Not something that's going to affect the performance, just something to note.
