Umbro Speciali Pro HG/FG (2009) | Unboxing and Performance Review | ThatCoultasGuy

The Umbro Speciali HG are the same boot as the Umbro Speciali SG, with the only difference being the stud pattern. This pair being the Hard Ground/Firm Ground plate.

First released in 2009, the Speciali is Umbro’s heritage/classic boot. What a history this boot has as a ‘silo’.
I got these in a size UK:6.5/JP:25.5/EU:40.5 and they offer a snug fit but not to the point where it’s uncomfortable. I feel that after a few hours of wear, the upper will form nicely to the shape of my foot.
The boot also features a fold-over tongue held down by Velcro which adds to the classic vibe.
Performance wise, they are pretty much the same as the Soft Ground pair bar the soleplate.  On Hard Ground and Firm Ground the Speciali performs well.
I didn't feel any stud pressure and I got a good level of traction when pushing off. Because of the positioning of the studs being quite narrow on the boot, I did feel as it would mean they were unstable and roll over but this wasn't the case.
