First impressions of these are good. The upper for a takedown model is very thin and close to the foot. After putting them on and kicking a ball around for a couple of minutes, they feel really good and like a boot I'd want to play in.
The actual upper is made from a synthetic PU material and whilst you can tell it's a takedown upper, it still feels pretty nice. On top of the upper is a clear graphic print which resembles filled in and also empty hexagons which actually looks really cool. It adds the minimal amount of grip but out of the box it is noticeable.
The boot uses an asymmetrical lacing system which helps create a larger instep for shooting the ball without the laces getting in the way. An internal heel counter will offer a decent amount of protection for the Achilles and heel area.
I'm most interested in seeing how the stud pattern will perform, especially since it is different to the high-end pro model with the forefoot studs being different.
Design wise I am a big fan of these boots. The colourway is fantastic with the blue base providing the perfect canvas for orange accents and the N logo in white.
