The Best Looking Boots of 2016 | SHOWCASE - FOOTBALL BOOTS | 2016

2016 has seen a lot of new boots released onto the market and also fresh colourway updates. This list will countdown my top five best looking releases.

5) Nike Magista 2 | Black/White/Paramount Blue

A recent release from the big swoosh sees the Nike Magista start off this list. Aside from the black/orange variant, this colourway is the darkest we have seen whilst still being eye catching.

The subtle blending of the black and blue provide a great base for the white Nike Swoosh to pop and stand out. A top release for sure.

4) Nike Mercurial Superfly 4 | What the Mercurial

Starting with a base as good looking as the Mercurial Superfly 4, its not hard to make a fire colourway.

Going through the Mercurial lines history and picking out the best bits and putting it in a collage on the same boot is what gets the number four slot on this list. The uniqueness is fantastic and highlights include the BHM, the Safari and the Carbon SL.

3) adidas Copa 17 | Crowning Glory

A very recent release, the adidas Copa 17 could hit the list for it's colour way alone.

The classic styling on a modern soleplate, this is what the 'Copa SL' should have been. The clean white upper with whiteout adidas stripes allows the gold heel tab and soleplate to standout, creating an overall fantastic look.

2) New Balance Visaro | Signal

A great looking boot? Check. A great looking colourway? Check. Add the two together and you get number two on this list.

The 'Signal' limited colourway of New Balances VIsaro stands out on the pitch and for good reason. The dark blue and black go together well (similar to the Magistas already listed) and the bright white N tops it off.

The pattern is very unique and one of the standout prints from 2016.

1) Puma EvoSpeed 1.7 SL-S | Griezmann Derby Day

Number one on the list is the 'Griezmann Derby Day' edition of the new EvoSpeed 1.7 SL-S.

The clean white upper is complimented with a red back half mimicking the Atletico Madrid home shirt, hence the derby day name. The small details of the boot help to bring it to life, with the blue outline of the formstripe.

A worthy winner of boot of the year.
